Find A Market is a search tool for craft fairs, art shows, farmers markets and other vendor events. It shows booth fees, application deadlines and application links, and what other vendors say about a show, so a vendor can decide whether a show is worth the fee before they apply. For the people who run the events and the people who shop them, it adds free listing tools and a set of market-day games.
Who built it
Tom, a working vendor who sells rocks, crystals and jewelry at craft shows and markets. He built Find A Market so the questions vendors ask each other every season (what does this show cost, is it still taking applications, is it worth it) have one place to be answered.
What is in it
About 9,500 upcoming vendor events across the United States. Find A Market only lists events that actually take vendors, and every listing links back to the organizer’s own application where there is one.
The market games
This is what sets Find A Market apart from a plain event list. Organizers can switch on games for their event, and shoppers play them on their own phones during the market. All of them are free for shoppers, and the prizes are small ones that organizers and vendors choose.
Market bingo. Every shopper gets their own random card, new each round, and rounds run through the day. Squares can be words or pictures, and the pictures are tiles that participating vendors display at their booths, so shoppers go looking. Photos are the proof, they stay on the shopper’s phone, and one winner is drawn at random each round.
Booth trail. Vendors opt in. Shoppers scan a card at each booth for a stamp and finish the trail for a reward at the info booth. It sends foot traffic to every booth that joins, not only the ones near the entrance.
People’s Choice. Shoppers who checked in vote for categories like Best Booth and Friendliest Vendor, and the winning vendors get a badge on their public page.
Market Passport. Check-ins earn stamps and badges across markets, with seasonal challenges and rewards that organizers can offer for repeat visits.
For vendors
Search shows near you by date, type and distance, with booth fees and deadlines in one place.
Ratings and notes from vendors who have worked the show, plus how the same dates turned out for weather in past years.
Vendor Plus adds a wider search radius, saved searches, calendar sync with conflict warnings, expense and sales tracking, a scorecard that ranks your markets by net profit and a personal break-even for each show.
Applying, check-in and anything else an organizer asks of a vendor is always free for the vendor.
For organizers
Listing an event is free, and organizers can claim and manage their own listing.
Vendor applications with a waitlist that offers a dropped spot to the next vendor in one click, and bulk decisions with a spreadsheet download.
A booth map, vendor scan check-in on the day, and the games above, all from one dashboard.
A best date finder that ranks the weekends ahead by past weather and nearby events, and insight into how vendors are viewing the listing.
A small badge for the organizer’s own website that links to the listing and shows its rating (see the badge page).
What it will never do
Find A Market never takes a cut of booth fees and never sells preferential placement to events. Organizers collect fees however they choose, and events are ordered by what the searcher asks for, not by who pays. See how we rank.
