Find A Market

Terms of Service

Last updated October 11, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Find A Market (the "Service"), operated by Thomas Frechette, a sole proprietor doing business in Cincinnati, Ohio ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Find A Market helps makers and small-business vendors search for craft fairs, markets, and festivals, and track events they're interested in applying to. The Service is provided "as is" and is under active development; features, limits, and pricing may change.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

When you sign up, you choose whether you're a vendor or a visitor; some tools are only available to one or the other. Event organizers can separately register or claim a listing, which we review before granting a "Verified Organizer" badge. You must be authorized to act for the event you claim, and we may decline or revoke a claim at any time.

You can optionally connect third-party accounts, such as Google (calendar and sheets), Square (read-only sales import), and Discord. We only access what you approve, and you can disconnect any of them at any time. Those services are governed by their own terms. If you forward an email to your private Find A Market address, you confirm you're allowed to share it; we read it only to update your My Events.

3. Event information is not guaranteed

Event listings are gathered using automated web search and AI tools, and some are shown before we've been able to confirm them with an official source. Listings may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Find A Market is a discovery tool, not a source of truth. Averages, break-even figures, rankings, weather history, best-date rankings, and other calculations are estimates based on the data available and on past records; they describe what usually happens, not what will. Always verify application deadlines, fees, and requirements directly with the event organizer before applying or paying anything.

4. Business tools are not financial, tax or accounting advice

Find A Market's vendor business tools are record-keeping aids. They include expense, sales and hours tracking, the Business Sheet in your Google Drive, profit and break-even figures, the market scorecard, the mileage log, sales tax totals, the suggested tax set-aside, the accounting export, imported sales, and the anonymous averages from other vendors. They are not financial, tax, accounting or legal advice, and Find A Market is not an accountant, bookkeeper or tax preparer.

The figures these tools produce depend on what you and others enter, on imported files, and on formulas, rates and estimates (such as the IRS standard mileage rate, estimated driving distances and rule-of-thumb tax percentages) that may be out of date, incomplete or wrong for your situation. The Business Sheet is a file you own and can edit, and edits, syncing, formulas or Google's own service can change or break its contents. Find A Market is not responsible for errors, omissions or losses arising from these tools or from the Business Sheet, including tax penalties, missed deductions or decisions based on their figures.

Always check the results against your own records, and use a qualified accountant or tax professional for your taxes, filings and business decisions.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Find A Market offers a free tier and three paid subscriptions, Market Pass, Vendor Plus and Organizer Plus, each billed either monthly or annually depending on what you choose at checkout. Paid subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Vendor Plus includes Market Pass, and Organizer Plus includes everything in Vendor Plus. An account has one subscription at a time. Changing your account type (vendor or visitor) never changes your subscription. If you change plans, the change takes effect right away and keeps your billing period: moving to a higher plan charges the prorated difference for the rest of the period, and moving to a lower plan leaves a prorated credit that is applied to your next bills. A Market Pass or Vendor Plus gift is a one-time purchase of a set period (3 months or a year); its code can be used once and the gift does not renew. If the person redeeming a Vendor Plus gift already pays for Vendor Plus or Organizer Plus, their next bill moves out by the gift's length instead. Free Organizer Plus periods we grant (such as founding-organizer months) end on the date shown in your account and do not turn into a paid subscription unless you choose one. Founding-organizer months are limited to the number of spots shown on our pricing page and to verified organizers with the minimum number of market dates in the period stated there, counted from their verified listings. Billing is processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, acting as Merchant of Record, so your payment relationship for billing purposes is with Paddle, not directly with us. See our Refund Policy for cancellation and refund terms, and our Pricing page for current plan details and any active promotional pricing.

Find A Market also offers a refer-a-friend program: sharing your personal referral link can earn you free weeks of Vendor Plus access once a friend you referred actually subscribes and pays, up to a maximum number of weeks per friend referred, and your friend gets a one-time signup bonus the first time that happens. Referral rewards have no cash value, aren't transferable, and can be withheld or reversed if we determine they were earned through fraud, abuse, or self-referral.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to circumvent search or account limits through automation or multiple accounts; systematically extract, resell, or redistribute the Service's data at scale; or interfere with the Service's normal operation.

7. User-generated content

Find A Market lets users submit vendor ratings, visitor ratings, written notes and comments, photos, and public profile information (a username, bio, avatar, and website link, if you choose to set one up). You retain ownership of anything you submit, but by submitting it you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, store, and distribute it within the Service, including on public pages, such as a market's ratings or your own public profile if you choose to make one.

Reviews and ratings must reflect your own genuine experience. Don't submit a rating for an event you didn't actually attend, and don't submit fake, duplicate, or retaliatory reviews. Photos you upload must be your own and must not contain content that is illegal, sexually explicit, or infringes someone else's rights; the one extra picture you can add to your public profile (a flyer or booth photo for vendors, a photo for shoppers) follows the same rules, is shrunk when you upload it, and is shown only on your public profile; uploaded photos are automatically screened by an image-moderation service before being shown to other users, though that screening isn't a guarantee every violation is caught.

We may remove, edit, or decline to publish any user-submitted content that violates these Terms, is abusive, fraudulent, or otherwise inappropriate, without prior notice. If you make your profile public, your username, bio, avatar, and review history become visible to anyone, including people without a Find A Market account. If you close your account, your vendor and visitor ratings are anonymized rather than deleted: the content stays (since other vendors have already relied on it in deciding whether to apply somewhere), but it's no longer linked to your identity; your public profile itself is deleted. Email us if you'd like your review content removed entirely instead of anonymized.

Financial figures you log (booth fees, supplies, sales, hours worked) are private to you. They may be combined with other vendors' figures into anonymous averages for a market, shown only when enough vendors have logged figures; no individual vendor's figures are shown. If you turn on your public schedule, the markets you've marked as accepted (dates and locations), along with your username, business name, and links, are visible to anyone with the link. Links you share from the app may carry your referral code. If you join our Discord, our server rules apply and we may remove members who break them; new ratings may also be posted to a Discord channel without your name.

Market crews are private groups you join only by invite link. Crew messages are seen by the crew's members, are screened for offensive language, and can be reported by any member; a reported message is hidden at once and reviewed by us, and we may remove members or close a crew that breaks these Terms. The crew's starter can remove members. Market games (bingo, the booth trail and People's Choice) are free to play, need no purchase, and are run by each market's organizer. Bingo winners are drawn at random from the players who call bingo in a round; prizes, trail rewards and how they are handed out are provided by the organizer and vendors, not Find A Market. Bingo photos stay on your device. If you win, only your first name and last initial are shown, and the organizer gets your claim code, not your email. We may turn a game off anywhere, including where local rules don't allow it. Passport rewards are offered by organizers, who decide how they are honored. A pickup hold is an arrangement between you and the vendor; no payment passes through Find A Market, and your name and email are shared with that vendor. When you tap "I'm here", your location is checked against the market's location and is not stored; only whether you were nearby is kept. When you scan a market's check-in sign and allow location, that one reading is added, without your name, account or time of day, to an anonymous set of readings used to correct that market's map pin; it is never saved with your account or your check-in.

We are not responsible for the accuracy of user-submitted reviews or ratings. They reflect the opinion of the submitting user, not Find A Market.

8. Flyers, organizers and vendor applications

If you send us an event flyer, you confirm it is a flyer the organizer has put out publicly, or that you have the right to share it. We read it with an AI service to pull out the event's details. The picture is never shown to the public and is deleted once it has been checked, and always within 30 days. We may add, change, hold or decline any listing made from a flyer. Because the contact details on a public flyer were published by the organizer, we may send the email address printed on it one invitation to claim the listing. The invitation never says who sent the flyer, every one includes a one-click opt-out, and we keep an opted-out address on a do-not-contact list so we never write to it again. Only a verified Organizer Plus organizer can show their own flyer on their event page.

Organizers who take applications on their event page set their own questions, fees, deadlines and decisions, and are responsible for them. Find A Market does not collect, hold or refund booth fees, juried application (jury) fees or any other payment between a vendor and an organizer; a payment link in an application, acceptance email or jury fee note goes to the organizer's own payment service. What you put in an application (your answers, contact details and any product or booth photos) is shared with the organizer you apply to. Photos you add to your vendor photo library are private to you until you attach one to an application, are kept for reuse, and are deleted automatically after a long period unused (currently 90 days) unless an application that is still open uses them. Organizers can also message vendors who have followed their event and see summaries of vendor ratings (such summaries never name the vendor), and must use these tools only for the event concerned and in line with these Terms. We are not a party to anything between vendors and organizers.

9. Intellectual property

The Service's software, design, and branding are owned by us. Event data is aggregated from public sources and provided for your personal/business use, not for resale.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or that results will be accurate, complete, or uninterrupted.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including missed application deadlines, lost fees, or decisions made based on Service data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

Event listings are aggregated from public, third-party sources, and some listings are submitted directly by users or event organizers. We do not verify the legitimacy of any event, organizer, or third-party website linked from a listing, and we are not liable for losses arising from fraudulent, misleading, or otherwise bad-faith listings, including fake events, scam applications, or misappropriated fees collected by a third party. If you encounter a listing you believe is fraudulent, use the "Flag as possible scam" option on that listing so we can review and remove it.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time, and you can cancel your subscription any time from Settings. You can also delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
