Founding Vendor terms

What this is

The Founding Vendor program is a month of real use of Find A Market by a small group of working vendors, chosen by hand. In return for your time and feedback you get Vendor Plus access, and a reward if you finish.

Getting in

You apply with a free vendor account. Applications are read by a person. Seats are limited per market area and per kind of product, so a good application can still end up on the waitlist. One seat per person, and the account you apply with is the account the program runs on.

During your month

Your month is 28 days from the day you are accepted. You have Vendor Plus at no charge for that time, plus a few days of cushion. If you already pay for Vendor Plus, your subscription is not touched, and the reward months are added to the end of it.

Each week a set of tasks opens. A task counts when the app can see you did it, such as a saved market, a rating or a correction sent. You can do tasks ahead of their week. Each week also has a check-in, which opens with the week and can be sent once.

Finishing and the reward

You finish when you have sent all four check-ins, completed at least 80% of your tasks, and sent three corrections that are accurate. The moment you do, 3 months of Vendor Plus are added to your account and a Founding Vendor badge appears next to your name on your ratings.

If your month ends and you are not there, you get one extra week. After that, if you completed at least half of your tasks and two check-ins, you get 1 month of Vendor Plus and no badge. Below that there is no reward, and your access ends on its own date.

I may add bonus months for members whose work stood out. That is my call and it is never promised.

Staying active

The free Vendor Plus is a trade for real use and honest feedback, so keeping your seat depends on taking part. By day 5 of each week, send that week's check-in and do about half of that week's tasks. If you fall behind, I will email you once, and you will have 4 days to catch up.

If you are not interested in taking part as asked, or you are still behind after those 4 days, you can be removed from the program. The free Vendor Plus that came with it ends, the seat goes to the next person on the waitlist, and your account and everything you saved stay as they are. The same happens if I see no activity from you for 10 days. You can ask to come back and I will look at it.

Honest ratings and corrections

Nothing in this program asks for a good rating, a particular score or particular wording. Rate what you actually experienced, good or bad. Ratings for markets you have not been to, copied text, extra accounts made for the program and corrections you know are wrong disqualify you, and I can remove the badge and any unused reward.

Your badge is labeled as free beta access wherever it appears, so anyone reading your ratings knows you were in the program.

If you talk about it

You are welcome to tell people about the program. If you do, say that you received free access as part of it.

Your answers

Your check-ins and notes are read by me and used to decide what to fix and build. I will not publish them with your name on them without asking you first.

Changes

I may change or end the program, or change how a task is counted. Rewards you have already earned stay yours.
